Because the government keeps criminal reports by name and date of birth only and not by social security number, it is possible for people with more common names to have reports attached to their profiles that are not theirs.
When this occurs our system automatically sends the reports back to Trans Union for a more thorough search. In this instance you will receive and email from us indicating that the report, although complete, has been placed on hold until the criminal reports are either confirmed or cleared. This process usually takes a couple of hours (possibly longer on weekends and holidays).
Once all erroneous reports have been cleared, we will remove the hold and you will again be notified by email that the report is ready to be viewed.
If you or your applicant feel that there are criminal reports attached to the applicant's profile that are in error, please contact us immediately at firstname.lastname@example.org.
